Ashley has sewn for years. Her mother taught her at a very young age. When first starting out, she stuck to mastering commercial patterns before venturing into creating her own. Her patterns have been featured in Sew News, Sew It All, and she has even been on Sew It All TV.
Quilting is somewhat new to Ashley, but she dove in head first – coming up with an original design for her first quilt that included curved seams and hand appliqué! She was even lucky enough to have it featured in one of Quilty’s “This is My Quilt” episodes.

I’m Emily and my goal in life is to encourage joy in everyone that I meet. I have 2 kiddos, 2 pugs and an awesomely bearded husband.
Our family lives in rural WI amongst the corn fields and Packer fans. I attempt a vegetable garden every year, I believe that ice cream is a necessity at any time of the day, I’m constantly concocting more ways to add color to my life, and I truly believe that I can never own too many scarves (especially in the mustard yellow family…yay)

I started sewing when I was a kid in a 4-H sewing club, and discovered how much I enjoy creating my own patterns. I also love to write, so starting a blog to share my crafting adventures just felt right. It's been a good fit into my life so far, and sharing what I know about crafting and sewing with creative people of all experience levels has been rewarding.
I also have a shop full of sewing patterns for creative people. Now that I've told you everything you could possibly want to know about me, let's go enjoy something handmade!
